Prepare the basal mixture consists of of decomposed Farm yard manure+Azospirillum+Phosphobacteria+Trichoderma+Pseudomonas as per the given ratio. This is often called as enriched basal mixture. After mixing the basal heap the mixture,sprinkle water over the heap and covered with gunny bags and place it under the shade for a week. (or) If it is difficult to enrich farm yard manure,apply farm yard manure separately to the field & mix the remainingAzospirillum+Phosphobacteria+Trichoderma+Pseudomonas+neem cake + farm yard manure 200kg separately after mixing the basal heap the mixture,sprinkle water over the heap and covered with gunny bags and place it under the shade for a week. Take 200 gram of maida, mix it with 1 litre of water and allowed for boiling. After that convert this mixture into 4 litres by adding water to it. In this mixture add Azospirillum+Phosphobacteria+Trichoderma+Pseudomonas as per the given recommendations. Bio fertilizer solution is ready for use. Soak the maize seeds in this mixture and allowed for shade dry.

As compared to the conventional irrigation medium levelling of the cultivated land is enough for drip irrigation. You can use the available water source. No need to use the pure water for drip irrigation. Drip irrigation conserves 50 - 65% of water as compared to conventional irrigation methods. Arrange the drip system, the laterals should be in the centre of the bed and the dripper or emitter is placed in between the plants. Tie the laterals at the both end with some sticks or poles. It supports the laterals during heavy wind.

Seedlings are ready for transplant at 25 - 30 days after sowing. Seedlings at least 4-5 true leaves (about 4 weeks old),around 15cm - 1 feet tall,short internode length,vigorous,free from pest & disease symptoms. The seedlings should be free from leaf miner and virus infections. Transplanting of pest infected seedlings leads to severe pest attack and chance for more contamination. Avoid damaged/wounded seedlings which leads to entry of secondary pathogens into the plants. Take the protrays to the field without disturbing the seedlings root.

After that fill the container with water @ full capacity. All of them are mixed and kept under shade, covered by a gunny bag to facilitate aeration.
